OUR STORY
God Has Been Faithful…..and the Story Continues.
For more than a century, First Presbyterian Church of Covina has been part of the life of this community.
Our story began in 1905, when four lots in what was then the heart of Covina were deeded to the church. From those early beginnings, generations of people have worshiped, prayed, raised families, served their neighbors, and shared the love of Jesus from this place.
Over the years, the church grew, and our campus grew with it. Today, our property includes our sanctuary, Christian education building, fellowship hall, offices, and outdoor spaces.
But the story of First Presbyterian Church isn't really about buildings or property.
It's about people.
It's about the people who came before us and faithfully built, served, taught, prayed, gave, and worshiped here. It's about the friendships formed, the lives changed, the prayers prayed, and the ways God has been present through every season.
And we are grateful.
A New Chapter
Every church has seasons. There are times of growth and times of change, times when we look back with gratitude and times when we look ahead with hope.
We believe this is a time to look ahead.
We honor the legacy we have received while remaining open to where God is leading us next. Our desire is to be a church where people belong, grow in faith, discover their gifts, and share the love of Christ with others.
We want to be a church that loves God deeply, loves people well, and serves our community faithfully.
The story God has been writing at First Presbyterian Church of Covina for more than a century is not finished.
We believe there is more to come.
And we would love for you to be part of the next chapter.
